Matematica will deliver a 2,5 flowmeter dpns (double precision non stop)

system for a Skangass and Preem natural gas terminal in Lysekil/Sweden.

-The system will calculate the mass and energy-flow threw 3 pipes.

-Total uncertainty of the complete system sensational 0.3%!

(Including transmitters, pipe and computer).

-The dpns system combines the strength from 2 types of flowmeters.

 

1. The reliabality of a standard verified flowmeter, orifice.

Advantage; If everything is done according to standard,

You know that the calculated mass/energy flow value is correct. 

 

2. The very high precision of a commercial flowmeter,

a US-flowmeter from Krohne.

Advantage; Very high precision if the manufacutrs numbers

can be realized. But You can only hope that these numbers

can be realized.

 

The different flowmeters will check each other and the software

will calculate the most plausible flow threw the pipe!

 

-Every single component of the system can be taken out of

operation for service calibration and more while the dpns-system still

working.

 

-The system will indicate when the time has come to calibrate

every single transmitter!

 

-The total system with transmitters, signal transmission and

calculations will have a total uncertainty of 0.3 %!

 

-The calculation system i based on a Siemens PCS 7 CPU.

Matematica gets a function block order from AGA/LINDE.

It's a Siemens PCS7 block called GC repair that filters the

signals from a natural gas chromatograph.

Whenever the signals from the GC are unlikely to be correct

the GC block stops the signals from passing the GC repair block.

for flow in tubes and thermodynamics. Some improvements

 

1. Excel function.

For improved integration with Excel an Excel report can be produced

(instead of txt report). This report can be copied to an Excel-chart

with Windows copy-functions for more calculations or other

developments.

Matematica releases version 2.0 of the gas analyzer diagnostic block

GC_repair_2. This PCS7 function-block analyzes the signals from the GC

and if one or more signals are impossible, this GC_repair block will

select the most recent signals from the analyzer without problems and send

them to the other blocks for calculations. The error dtection consists of

2 parts;

 

1. Tecnical limits for the signals like min/max and max speed of change

2. Statistical analyse of the signals from the GA/GC.

If one or more signals are statistical unlikely, the block will use the most

recent signals without tech/stat errors and send them to the rest of the

calculations;
